“Do the difficult things while they are easy and do the great things while they are small. A journey of a thousand miles must begin with a single step.”

About the Journey Program

“The Journey” Program is an immersion in the primal arts and training methods of Tribal Edge. This program is one year adventure with a group of people who are focused on learning how to learn, and pursuing excellence as a way of life. The Journey is designed to give you the structure and support for acquiring the dirt time that leads to self-mastery upon your personal path and vision.

During our intense study we explore the science, art, and philosophy of the hard skills of Tracking, Survival, Healing, and Combat. Through this journey we turn the lens of experience back upon itself and explore the process of learning, training, and teaching. This leads us towards a deeper understanding of the skills, why they are important and relevant to our life now, and awakens the desire to contribute to the community, and the planet.

“To see a world in a grain of sand and heaven in a wild flower hold infinity in the palm of your hand and eternity in an hour.” William Blake

We honor the speed of life and encourage patience and practice. However the program is ultimately designed to drastically accelerate ones growth by increasing efficiency and self discipline through cultivating passion and team motivation. Participants may find the process to be helpful in assisting them through blocks and steps that would otherwise take years of searching and in some cases never be complete.

The Journey program is a demanding commitment and can only deliver the best results to those who embrace its challenges. The course involves multiple types of training, an intense schedule, and many dimensions of your being. The optimal approach would involve having your living expenses covered to avoid the additional stress of a full time job. For those whose schedule or location are challenges, other versions of the Journey are available such as seasonal weekend intensives, the personal Journey coaching package, and the Journey online (coming soon). New participants are accepted annually with the opportunity to complete the program within a flexible time-frame. The Journey is a good preparation step for the Apprenticeship which is required for those who wish to become an Instructor at Tribal Edge.
