This may seem ironic but this manual was made by AI for nature educators.

I have tried to find and have considered creating a resource such as a guide or manual about complex facilitation as a nature educator. I could not find what I was looking for so as an experiment, I prompted Chat GPT to help me put together the resources. The results were interesting.

After some editing, “Complex Facilitation Manual: complexity science applied to nature education” came into existence, and this 71-page guide may be a starting point for my own research and further exploration of the subject and has given me some good ideas about how to write such a document.

It is likely to be inaccurate in important ways, but I find it as useful as a lot of the books out there that are unavoidably biased. It has a glossary, and 15 pages of references in an attempt to acknowledge contributors and provide sources for further investigation and editing.

I know there is an ethical battle going on about what we feed these AI models and I hope that prompting it to explore this topic is beneficial for its moral development like a nutrient-dense and life-supporting meal.
