Why this kind of education?
We live in a new world. A world of change and uncertainty that challenges the traditional structures and institutions we have relied upon for generations. It seems painfully obvious as we watch our leaders and authorities fumble to keep the illusion of control and sameness going on from Zoom in their living room. It is pretty easy to see that no one knows what is next and things aren't going back to normal.
We are witnessing the collapse of the old rigid model that got us here by playing the finite game of "winning", now struggling to stay relevant in a chaotic phase of changing history. It is difficult, messy and risky to let go of what was while embracing what is emerging.
In this transition we need to find resilient new ways to meet today's needs and bridge the gap while we move forward. We need sustainable and dynamic systems that can address the complex problems we face, and our education model needs to be consistent with today's demands.
Since 2002, Tribal Edge has been offering training while preparing for these personal, societal, cultural and environmental shifts by training people in "edge" experiences. We work within the liminal space, or transition spaces, in between the steps and stages of the journey. We teach the practical yet subtle skills which allow you to find stability through adaptability, to keep going and growing as you follow your vision through the chaos of change.
It all comes down to our relationship with nature- the raw nature of atoms, mountains, and galaxies, our mother nature of living systems, and the human nature of your personal internal experience and your relationships with others.
All of nature follows the same principles and processes- also known as laws. When we understand and honor the laws of nature- we thrive. This is what our ancestors knew. It was obvious, after all, we are nature and to act otherwise would be foolish.
In our training, participants discover the fusion of skills needed for the real world: primal living skills, traditional ancestral wisdom, consciousness and cognitive development, nature connection, natural science, primal psychology, natural philosophy, emergent team and leadership, and the cutting edge model of complex, adaptive systems thinking.
Through mentoring, adventures, games, skill training, challenges, stories and more, participants come into direct contact with the wild laws of nature and discover how to think and learn for themselves. They will soon know how to innovate, problem solve and play the infinite game of life as a creative and cooperative team player who will discover the solutions of tomorrow.
